Nan Walking Street ‘Chill out in the middle of local style.’

After making a wish and pay respect to holy things in Wat Phumin, you will want to get back to the front side of the temple, just to visit this.

There is a walking street in front of Wat Phumin. It’s also known as ‘Kad Khuang Muaeng Nan’. It’s an open-air market, which is only available on Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday night.

Nan walking street is a small commercial area, but simply heart-warming.

There are many types of food for sale. You will enjoy walking and eating. From snack to traditional meal dishes, just eat as much as your stomach can. Your walking will be endless as there is a lot of food, seriously. For an example, if you want to taste thing like ‘Kanomjeen Nam Ngeow’, just sit relaxedly at the booth and get one bowl. The price is very affordable, about 30 Baht. Or, if you want grilled squid, fried chicken, meatballs, everything is there for you.

Beside of food, there are also clothes and souvenirs, which you will fall in love too. There are totally over 300 booths. Get your money ready. Let’s buy some traditional costumes and ornaments.

Nan walking street is available from 17:00-22:00. If you can’t sleep at night, then get there and enjoy shopping. You will feel happy with slow-life and friendly atomsphere.

How to get there

As the walking street is located in the middle of Phumin temple. Therefore, just use the same route to Phumin temple.

Just keep driving along the Highway 1080, in order to reach Nan. Try using the road Mahayos. Then, after passing Wat Suan Tan, you must turn right into the road Pha Kong and pass Nan County Office. Soon, the temple will be on your right side.

Opening hours and Entrance fee : Opens daily from 5 pm until 10 pm. No entrance fee.
