Phuket Temple ‘Practice Dhamma in the middle of nature during holidays.’
Although this temple’s name is exactly as same as Phuket Province, but it has nothing to do with the province at all.
Phuket Temple is a temple is Nan Province. It’s name came from a village named ‘Ket Village’. The village is located on mountains. Therefore, the name includes the word ‘phu’, as it means ‘mountain’.
Phuket Temple is a proud-to-present temple in Nan. Its specialty is how it’s surrounded with green plantations and high mountains. It’s truely natural. No annoying smoke or noisy sound. You can have a rest freely.
Beside of admiring all valuable architectures, the temple is also a kind of resort. There is shelther named ‘Phuket Sonthaya Temple Stay’ within the temple. The shelther is a Dhamma hotel, which is for whoever goes to the temple to practice Dhamma. Now, that’s interesting. If you want to leave your stress behind and go on a Dhamma practicing trip, let’s choose this temple, as it’s in the middle of nature and has a nice and comfortable shelther. That will do good to our Dhamma practicing for sure.
The shelther of the temple is located on a nice sightseeing spot. When you get up early in the morning, you will feel cool breeze and see the sunrise. The shelther is small, with 4 floors and 8 rooms. The Dhamma practicing room will be on the top floor. The best part of the shelther is that, if you mean to practice Dhamma at the temple, you won’t have to pay a single Baht for the shelther. It’s free, precisely.
That is nice to try. You will have a chance of Dhamma practicing in the middle of nature and also learn about monk’s life at the same time.
