4 Days Package Tour Pai – Mae Hong Son Loop
This 4-day adventure blends mountain landscapes, cultural visits, and scenic landmarks along the Mae Hong Son Loop.
Tour Overview
Looking for an authentic Northern Thailand adventure? The Package Tour Pai – Mae Hong Son Loop is your perfect escape. Departing from Chiang Mai, this 4-day journey takes you deep into the heart of Thailand's northern highlands—combining natural wonders, charming villages, local traditions, and scenic viewpoints.
DAY 1:
Your journey begins with a morning pick-up in Chiang Mai. The first stop is Huay Nam Dang National Park, where panoramic views over mist-covered valleys will greet you. The fresh air and lush greenery offer a perfect start to your northern adventure.
Next, visit the World War II Bridge, a historic site that tells tales of wartime logistics and local resilience.
After lunch at a local restaurant, prepare for some light trekking at Pai Canyon. With its unique red sandstone ridges and dramatic drop-offs, it's a photographer's dream.
By late afternoon, check in at the cozy Yoma Hotel (or a similar 4-star option). The evening highlight awaits at Phra That Mae Yen temple, offering sweeping sunset views over Pai Valley. For those preferring an easier walk, Two Huts Pai provides a more accessible viewpoint.
End the day with a delightful dinner at Pai Walking Street, bustling with food stalls, handicrafts, and live music.
DAY 2:
After breakfast, set off to explore the Chinese Village and Yun Lai Viewpoint, a place where tea culture meets sweeping mountain views.
Next, soak in the natural mineral waters at Sai Ngam Hotspring, a peaceful forest hideaway perfect for relaxing.
The adventure continues at Tham Lod, a vast limestone cave system famous for its ancient coffin caves and river passages. Glide through its chambers on a bamboo raft—an experience you won't forget.
After lunch, travel towards Ban Rak Thai, a beautiful lakeside village near the Myanmar border. The blend of Yunnanese-Chinese culture is everywhere—from architecture to food. Enjoy a serene boat ride on the lake, capturing the cool mountain atmosphere before settling into your overnight stay.
DAY 3:
Wake up to mountain air and head to Pu Klon, a unique spa destination known for its therapeutic mud treatments.
Next, walk the iconic Su Tong Pae Bridge, Thailand's longest bamboo footbridge, stretched across bright green rice fields leading to a quiet monastery.
After lunch, embark on a long-tail boat ride to Huay Pu Keng Long Neck Village, home to the Karen ethnic group. Learn about their traditions and unique way of life.
Wrap up your cultural day with visits to Wat Chong Kham and Wat Chong Klang, two lakeside temples known for their beautiful reflections and Myanmar-style architecture. Enjoy dinner and a restful night at Fern Resort or a similar property in Muang Mae Hong Son.
DAY 4:
After breakfast, ascend to Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu, a hilltop temple offering panoramic views of Mae Hong Son town.
Next, explore the stunning Kaew Komol Cave, famous for its rare calcite crystal formations.
During the right season, you'll also get to marvel at the golden Mexican Sunflower Fields at Doi Mae U-Khor, turning hillsides into a sea of yellow. (On November to mid-December).
After lunch, visit Ob Luang National Park, home to dramatic gorges and lush walking trails.
Your adventure concludes with a comfortable return to Chiang Mai around 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM.
