Embark on a breathtaking journey through Northern Thailand with our Mae Hong Son Loop 3 Day Tour. This 3-day adventure is perfect for travelers looking to escape the city and immerse themselves in a mix of stunning nature, cultural encounters, and authentic rural Thai life. Starting from Chiang Mai, this loop tour winds through mountains, waterfalls, caves, and scenic countryside roads, bringing you face-to-face with local hill tribes, ancient temples, and charming small towns like Mae Hong Son and Pai. From the cool mists of Doi Inthanon National Park to bamboo rafting inside a mysterious cave and sunset views over Pai Valley, every moment is packed with memorable highlights.

Day 1 :

Your journey kicks off with a morning pickup from your hotel in Chiang Mai. Head south to the majestic Doi Inthanon National Park, where you’ll stand at Thailand’s highest point and admire the stunning King and Queen Pagodas, surrounded by flower gardens and mountain views. Continue to Wachiratarn Waterfall, one of the park’s most beautiful and powerful waterfalls. After a tasty local lunch, drive toward Mae Hong Son and visit the twin lakeside temples: Wat Jong Kham and Wat Jong Klang, known for their unique Shan-style architecture and serene setting. Finish your day with dinner and an overnight stay at the comfortable Fern Resort (3-Star Hotel) in downtown Mae Hong Son.

Day 2 :

After a leisurely breakfast, start your morning at Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu, perched on a hill with panoramic views of Mae Hong Son town surrounded by misty mountains. Next, visit Ban Huay Sua Tao Long-Neck Karen Village where you’ll meet members of this famous ethnic community and learn about their distinctive lifestyle. Afterward, enjoy a scenic drive to Ban Jabo, a hilltop Black Lahu village famous for its noodle shops with cliffside seating and spectacular valley views. Enjoy lunch here while sitting on wooden platforms hanging over the edge of the mountain. Post-lunch, get ready for an exciting bamboo rafting experience inside the incredible Tham Lod Cave, gliding through cavernous halls with ancient stalactites and prehistoric wall paintings. For sunset, visit Wat Phra That Mae Yen, offering sweeping views over Pai and the valley below. However, if you’re unable to climb stairs, prefer less walking, or are short on time, we’ll take you to the easily accessible Two Huts Pai viewpoint, where you can still enjoy a relaxing sunset scene over Pai. Dinner awaits at Pai Walking Street, where vibrant food stalls and local artisans welcome you. Rest overnight at Yoma Hotel (4-Star) in Pai.

Day 3 :

Start the day with a refreshing visit to Mo Paeng Waterfall, perfect for a morning dip or nature photography. Then head to Santichon Village, home to the Chinese Yunnan community, where you’ll explore traditional houses and enjoy a savory Yunnan-style lunch featuring authentic dishes like braised pork and handmade buns. After lunch, enjoy some relaxation at Coffee in Love, a charming hilltop café in Pai known for its scenic views and romantic atmosphere (please note: food and beverages are not included, and customers are welcome to choose any other café along the route if preferred before visiting Pai Canyon). Next, enjoy a short nature walk at Pai Canyon, famous for its narrow ridges and panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. Before we leave Pai, we’ll stop at the historic Tha Pai Memorial Bridge, a World War II relic. Finally, we’ll return to Chiang Mai, arriving back in the city around 7 PM.
