Dhanabadee Ceramic Museum is a museum in Lampang, which was established by Phanasin Dhanabadeesakul, whose ancestors were the first group that built a ceramic factory in Lampang.

At first, when Ruamsamakkee Factory, the first ceramic factory of Lampang, was established, production wasn’t launched easily, as there weren’t hi-tech industrial machines. However, chicken-patterned bowls have been popular. Later, even Ruamsamakkee Factory was closed, Dhanabadee Factory was established instead. Still, chicken-patterned have been best sellers. There patterns have been developed. The production has been modernized. Everything has been better and better.

How to get there

Dhanabadee Ceramic Museum is located in Phra Bhat District, Muang County. Just use the super highway that leads you to Chiang Rai. When you find the intersection of the airport, just turn right to reach Phra Bhat Road. Find the block Phra Bhat 1 and move your car in there. Finally, turn left to Wat Chong Kham Road and you will find Dhanabadee Block. If you do not have car, you can contact your hotel or travel agency in Chiang Mai to arrange the car rental with driver for you.

Opening hours and Entrance fee : Opens daily from 9 am until 5 pm. The museum entrance costs THB 100 per adult and THB 60 per child.
