An example for those is Wat Sri Chum Lampang. This is a well-known Burmese temple built by Uyo, a wealthy Burmese man who wanted to make merit, in the year 1893.
An outstanding appearances of the place is, it’s made of wood and concrete. The wood is very valuable, as it’s from forests in Myanmar. That truely preserves the value of the country. However, there are still carvings all over the temple, looking so glorious.
There are Burmese architectures around, certainly. You may haven’t seen a Burmese Lord Buddha statue, a Burmese vihara, a Burmese pagoda and lots more before.
You may make a wish when you get there, pay respect to the architectures, have sightseeing around, and take a lot of photos.
Wat Sri Chum is not very large, but surely it’s a nice place to spend some time alone or with people you love, taking a rest, think about something leisurely.
How to get there
Wat Sri Chum temple is located on Tippawan Road, Suandok District, Muang County, Lampang province. To get there, it will be best to begin with Sri Chum Intersection. That point will allow you to turn left to Sri Chum Road. Not so long, after continuing straight fro about 100 metres, the temple will be in your eyesight, if you do not have car, you can find the public transport you see and ask the driver to give you a ride and for more comfortable, we can provide a car rental with driver for you.
Opening hours and Entrance fee : The Wat Sri Chum opens daily during daylight hours. Admission is 20 THB per person.
