Phra Buddha Bat Huaitom is the one and only royal project centre in Lamphun. It was established in the year 1978. At the time, King Bhumibol, the 9th king of Thailand, visited villagers at the community. He saw many troubles going one there: inadequate natural resources, ill people etc. He couldn’t just ignore that for sure. Therefore, he took the community into the care of Royal Project Foundation. And that’s how the project centre was established.

At Ban Huai Tom Karen Village, there are different zones, mostly plantations. You can walk around and see trees, gardens, research centre, etc.

How to get there

Phra Buddha Bat Huaitom is located in Lye County, Lamphun province. You just have to drive along the Highway No.106. You will reach the county by doing so. Then, switch to the Highway No.1087 by turning right. After that, as soon as you reach the 7th kilometre, just turn left. You will find your destination within 1 kilometre or you can contact us to book the car rental with driver, No worry for getting lost.
