Kids nowadays dont go to historical museums very often, as they may prefer playing games, or watching TV. That is not bad, but disappointing. By attaching themselves to technologies too much, kids may not have chances of learning old, valuable stories from the past.

Therefore, new-age parents should take their children to historical museums occasionally, in order to help them learn about old days and apply those to everyday life. Not only that, if kids know much about the past, there will be better chances for them to prepare for the future.

Now, lets waste no time! Make a vacation! Grab your kids hand and take him/her to any historical museum you know.

But if you dont know any historical museum, then lets this one be your suggestion, Oub Kham Museumin Chiang Rai.

Oub Kham Museum’s exhibition is all about Lanna history. It was established by Julasak Suriyachai, who’ve always wanted to preserve the valuable stories of Lanna.

The name ‘Oub Kham’ came from a kind of utensil, which is in fact a food bowl made of gold-coated bamboo. It was used by kings and senior monks only. This thing is displayed in the museum too, of course.

The museum is small but fabulous, marvellous, and incredible! If arrive at it, you will see that it appears as glorious, colorful Lanna-contemporary architectures, being decorated with beautful gardens and fountains.

There are many ancient items being displayed there, both outdoor and indoor. The outdoor exhibition area is a large field surrounded with trees and sculptures. The indoor is a pointy-roofed building.

All of displayed items are rare. You should take your kids to see at least once in lifetime. Most of these items are luxury ornaments, costumes, sliverwares, ancient collections, utensils, from royal palace in the past. Admire them carefully. Don’t touch them or you may damage them. Remember, these stuffs are really old. The damage will cause an inordinate amount of money. On top of that, you should be careful when you want to take photos.
