Choui Fon Tea Plantation is under the administration of Choui Fong Corporation.,Ltd , the biggest tea producer in Chiang Rai. It is another well-known tourist attraction.

There are total two branches of Choui Fong Tea Plantation, one in Mar Fah Luang County and another one in Mae Chan County. Both of them are enormous. The one in Mae Fah Luang County is over 800,000 square metres large and about 1,200 metres higher than the sea level. The one is Mae Chan County is over 1 million square metres large. 

You will absolutely fall in love with it if you go. The scenery around Choui Fong Plantation is really beautiful. You will see millions of tea plants being grown in descending lots. And you will also see valleys from a great distance.

And, if you still remember, Choui Fong Tea Plantation, the branch in Mae Chan, was once the filming location of Thai TV play ‘Rak Aok Agad’, which was starred by Cherry Khemupsorn Sirisukha and Aom Akkaphan Namart. The atmosphere at the plantation is really relaxing and the climate is good. Therefore there is no wonder why the filming crew chose it to be appeared in the story.

Now, if you’re interested in going to Choui Fong Plantation, you may started to think that there is nothing else there except for tea plants. You’re wrong! In fact, there is something more at the plantation. You will not see just tea lots for sure.

At Choui Fong Tea Plantation, the one in Mae Chan, there is a restaurant available for service. You can have cool drinks like green tea smothie, ice green tea, and yummy desserts like green tea cake, green tea rolled cake etc. As a suggestion, you should sit on a terrace just to inhale the sweet smell of the air and have a sightseeing while enjoying your foods. 

Beside of foods and drinks, there are also tea leaves and tea powder for sale, in case tourists want to purchase them and take home to cook some nice dishes. Every products are guaranteed to be fresh and quality. You will not feel disappointed.

The one in Mae Fah Luang doesn’t have a restaurant like the on in Mae Chan, as the one in Mae Fah Luang is the original one and the one in Mae Chan is the new one. However, you can still admire all those tea plants around you and take lovely photos, no matter which branch you choose.

How to get there 

Choui Fong Tea Plantation in Mae Chan County : To go to this branch, you can just follow the road Chiang Rai-Mae Sai until you reach Mae Chan County. Then you will see Pa Sang Junction, just turn into the way that leads you to Doi Tung, Mae Salong. You should keep going along that way until you find the sign written the direction to the tea plantation. Finally, just follow the sign. 

Choui Fong Tea Plantation in Mae Fah Luang County : You should first your trip at the junction that lead you all the way up to Doi Mae Salong. At the junction, you should turn right to Ban Toed Thai, as the left way will lead you to Mae Salong. Now, keep going for about 10 kilometres and you will see Ban Phaya Prai. As soon as you see Ban Phaya Prai, you should see another junction, which you should turn left. Keep going for about 2 kilometres and turn right. After you turn right, you should see the tea plantation in the next 200 metres. If you still worry, we recommend you to travel by private tour or you can book the car rental with driver for your own plan.
