This is another respectable temple of Mae Hong Son, which you should never miss.
Days after days, a lot of houses and buildings were built around the temple. That forced the temple not to be on the same spot. That’s not a problem, however. The location is not a big deal after all. What important is its beauty. The temple still looks beautiful and attracts quite many tourists.
The atmosphere at Wat Hua Wiang is not very joyful. It is quiet and peaceful. Things that surround it are grass and trees. There is also a vihara decorated in Shan and Burmese style and a white pagoda. But the highlight of the temple is ‘Phra Chao Paralakhaeng’, the Lord Buddha statue of the temple, which you should pay respect to and make a wish, just for your own good fortune.
Long story short, the temple is not very big, but it is relaxing. Therefore it is good for anyone who need some private time or a quiet moment. Going there when you feel sad or nervous can even comfort your mind too.
