Tour Overview

Day 1 : Visit Doi Inthanon National Park, at 2,565 meters above sea level the highest peak of Thailand. This range is a part of Himalaya in Nepal. The weather is cool all year-round. On top of Doi Inthanon land with ancient rainforest, vast completely covered. That very few will experience the real nature of the country’s highest mountain. Near the top we will take the Angka nature trail where you can walk amongst the unique flora and forest that grow at this altitude. Doi Inthanon National Park is a Mecca for birdwatchers and offers evergreen forests, impressive waterfalls, interesting flora and fauna and marvelous natural scenery. The tour continues with a visit Phra Mahathat Napha Methanidon and Phra Mahathat Naphaphon Phumisiri, twin pagodas which were built to commemorate the fifth cycle birthdays of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit. Both pagodas share similar bases as well as a two-level walking path that surrounds them. The pagodas enshrine Lord Buddha’s ashes and Buddha images, and overlook the magnificent scenery of Doi Inthanon. The tour continues with a visit to the Hmong Market and lunch at a local restaurant. Later on you will travel to Karen Hilltribe Village (Not a Long Neck women) to see local produce and hill tribe handicraft. Upon descending, guests will stop at the beautiful Wachiratharn waterfalls and Sirithan waterfalls on the way down the mountain before making our way back to Chiang Mai.

Day 2 : Leave Chiang Mai in the morning and to Lampang at Elephant Conservation Center to visit the first elephant hospital in the world and then ahead to Wat Phra That Lampang Luang. This temple lies 18 kms. south of Lampang and is one of the North’s finest. To the left of the chedi is a Vihara with a carved wood facade and double – level roofs. Harmonious proportions and exquisite interior decoration make Wat Phra That Lampang Luang one of the best examples of Northern – style religious architecture. Afterwards, Experience in Lampang City, people, temples and markets by horse-cart riding. It is a symbol of Lampang. Then drive to Lamphun visit Wat Prathat Hariphunchai a magnificent temple complex at Lamphun, the ancient Mon capital founded by Princess Chama Devi probably in the 9th century. On the way back visit Wat Charmmadevi and return to Chiang Mai in the late evening.
