The course was designed by the world-renowned golf course designer Mr. Ron M Garl, who drew inspiration from the stunning hills that surround the resort. Whether you’re on the fairway or putting on the green, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of lush green forests that include a variety of tree species such as golden teakwood and Dipterocarpus Alatus.
For golfers looking for a truly memorable experience, Alpine Golf Resort Chiangmai is a must-visit destination.
Alpine Golf Resort Chiangmai offers golfers a challenging yet picturesque 18-hole course that spans 7541 yards with a par of 72. Among the most memorable holes are the 4th, which is the longest par 5 on the course and one of the longest in Thailand, measuring 652 yards. The 5th hole is a 444-yard par 4 with a well-guarded green where par is considered a good score. On the 7th hole, golfers will notice the interesting spirit house near the tee, while the stream that runs alongside and across this hole from green to tee makes it one of the most challenging on the course.
The boldest players, who have prayed to the spirits, may attempt to carry the entire length of the water and go for the green in two, but anything from an eagle to a triple bogey can result on this exciting hole. Another notable hole is the par 4 9th, featuring an island fairway that is both beautiful and difficult to play. Golfers must navigate over water twice and contend with the prevailing wind, making this hole a challenging end to the front nine.
The most difficult hole on the course is undoubtedly the 11th hole, a 524-yard par 4 (yes, par 4!). Doglegging left with water down the entire left side, this hole plays almost like a par 5. Meanwhile, the 15th hole features an island green and is a short 169-yard par 3. While only requiring a short iron for most players, the sight of the green surrounded by water can be intimidating. The island is actually nearly 50 yards wide, making it a large target for a shot of this length.
With a challenging layout that takes advantage of the natural surroundings and beautiful views, Alpine Golf Resort Chiangmai is a must-play course for golfers looking to test their skills.
