Itinerary
- 08:00-08:30 AM: Pick up from your hotel or accommodation
- 08:30: Begin the 1.5-hour drive from Chiang Mai to the Sanctuary, passing through rolling hills, forest, and local farming areas.
- 10:30: Arrive at the Sanctuary, where you’ll meet your guide and take a 10-15 minute walk through the jungle to reach the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. Change into traditional Karen clothing, and enjoy an introductory lesson about elephant anatomy, history, and behavior.
- 11:00: Meet the elephants and interact with them in their natural environment, while learning about their behavior and history. Feed them, play with them, and take photos.
- 12:00: Savor a delicious lunch of traditional Thai food and fresh fruit.
- 13:00: Learn how to make herbal medicine balls, feed the elephants, and take a walk with them to the river for a bath and brush.
- 14:00: Join the elephants for a therapeutic mud spa, swim in the river, and take more photos.
- 15:00: Change clothes and bid farewell to the elephants.
- 15:15: Drive a short distance from the Sanctuary to engage in a unique cultural handicrafts experience.
- 15:30: Depart from the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary and begin the 1.5-hour drive back to Chiang Mai.
- 17:00-17:30: Arrive at your hotel or accommodation for drop off.
