Elephant Poopoo Paper Park is an elephant park in Chiang Mai, but it is not an ordinary one. By visiting Elephant Poopoo Paper Park, you will see how they make papers out of elephant poo, from the very first step to last step.

As soon as you arrive at the place, you will get a tour guide, who will lead you to see all marvellous things around. First, you will go into a beautiful garden and listen to what the guide say about paper making procedure. The procedure starts from cleaning elephant poop to finishing all sheets of papers. During this time, if you feel like you’re interested, you can attend the real activity, or the paper making activity. You can make your own paper from elephant poop. There will be experts around to teach you, don’t worry.

You tour will last for about 45 or 60 minutes. The time may not be very long, but the tour will be you valuable experience, as you may have never seen any of these at the park before.

People of all ages can have a great time together at the place. A whole family can go there and enjoy their holiday. Children will have their new opportunity of learning new things and adults will feel like they’re going back to their young days again.

After your tour is finished, you can find something to eat at the restaurant named ‘Ban Din Cafe’, which is located within the area. There are many dishes for you to choose, especially organic dishes. On top of that, you can purchase something you like at the souvenir shop.

Elephant Poopoo Paper Park is available everyday, from 8:00-17:30.

The admission fee is 100 Baht for one person. But for children younger than 5 year, they can go in for free.

How to get there

As the park is located in Mae-Rim County, it won’t be difficult to go there. Just grab a red truck in Chiang Mai downtown and go. Tell the driver your destination and you will have to travel for only about 15 minutes, if you would like to enjoy your trip in Mae Rim area, we can provide a private tour or a car rental with driver for your group.
